- 1 barspoon tamarind syrup
- 3/4 lime
- 1/2 oz. simple syrup
Pour Flor de Caña into a shaker, add rum, syrups and lime. Shake and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a lime wheel. This variation on the Daquiri takes tamarind, a popular fruit in both Indian and Hispanic cultures, and creates a deep rich Daquiri. The Flor de Caña lightens up the mixture of dark molasses rum, lime, sugar, and tamarind. It pairs well with food and is a perfect variation on the famous rum classic.
